How to Remarket Effectively

If used correctly, remarketing can be a very effective method of boosting conversions. But it is important to use smart strategies or you can end up doing more harm than good to your campaign. No one likes to be stalked by a brand – refinement is essential for successful remarketing

If you offer a number of products or services, you can have different coding for each area. For instance, if a user visits the book section, remarketing video games to them may not make sense. But the rule is not a definitive one. If someone visits the Harry Potter books section, they might also be interested in related games and audio books. Testing is the only way to find out what works and what doesn’t. For effective remarketing you need to know your audience.

For example, on an internet marketing site, including a generic remarketing code on all the pages and promoting advanced services on blogs about sophisticated SEO or PPC techniques is not a great idea. Users reading about advanced techniques may not need such services. Even if they need them, they are capable of finding them.

Advertising and promoting your products and services is necessary, but you don’t need to waste your marketing dollars. For example, use of a basic level code for posts like ‘what is PPC’ and sophisticated one for topics on advanced PPC management techniques is a better idea. The main objective of remarketing strategies is to increase brand awareness and catch your visitors’ interest all over again. Testing and ensuring relevancy is the only way to do this.
