Situation
The Xchange Technology Group (XTG) is a global business, operating in seven countries and is made up of three affiliate companies:  IT Xchange, ITX Solutions, and Vernon Computer Source. XTG needed an online marketing solution that would bring more targeted traffic to their Websites. Most of their traffic was direct, coming from people who were already familiar with their group of companies.

Goals
XTG wanted to reach a new audience of people in need of their specific services by increasing the traffic to their Website. To help them reach these qualified buyers, they asked Wolf21 to optimize their Website for a specific set of keywords that they felt they needed to rank well for.

Actions
To enable XTG to rank well for their keywords, Wolf21 completely optimized their Websites. This started off with a complete competitor review to understand what it would take to compete and win the ranking war. Based on the competitor analysis, complete on–page optimization was implemented including the development of a blog and weekly development of fresh content, which was critical to future success. A complete link–building campaign was also implemented and is maintained on a weekly basis.

Results
As Mr. Walsh states, “...in a period of just about three or four weeks, we were able to see the percentage of [new] referrals…to our site increase from about 6% to about 26 or 27%.” For Dave Walsh, it was not just the volume of hits that was impressive; it was also the quality of the traffic.
