If your website is not giving desired results, you need to find out the cause for this, to be able to take required action to fix the problem. Here is a checklist to help you get to the root of the problem.

Non existent traffic

Search engines are one of the most important sources of traffic for many websites. SEO is essential to drive search engine traffic to your website. You may take help of a search engine optimization specialist for this purpose. Also, ensure that your website content is in a format that is easy to crawl for search engine spiders and that your website has been indexed.

If you are not getting traffic in spite of optimizing, it is possible that too many websites are targeting the same keywords as you. In this case, concentrating on less competitive and more specific keywords may help.

Very high bounce rate

Usability, content and design issues are common causes for high bounce rates. Check out if your website is logically structures and easy to navigate. The content of your website should be of good quality. It should address the problems of your target market and how you can help. Design or coding problems may make your website incompatible with some of the popular browsers resulting in high bounce rates.

Low conversion rate

Factors like ineffective marketing and call to action, shopping cart issues and dead links can cause low conversion rates. Find out if your website has any of these issues and fix them to boost conversions.
